Doody Enterprises, Inc. (Doody's) is an authoritative medical book review service, designed to assist medical libraries and institutions with their purchasing decisions.Titles are reviewed by medical librarians and content specialists, and key selections are compiled into an annual list known as Doody's Core Titles (DCT), which highlights the best titles published within a variety of medical specialties. Doody's Star Reviewed Titles
Doody's is an authoritative medical book review service, designed to assist medical libraries and institutions with their purchasing decisions. Titles are reviewed by medical librarians and content specialists and rated on a 5-star scale by Doody's Review Service (DRS), which examines new content on a monthly basis.

Many of the titles on the Doody Core Titles (DCT) and Doody's Review Service (DRS) lists are available through the STAT!Ref Online title collection.
The designations and ratings are defined as follows:• Doody's Core Titles (DCT): A core title is a book or software title that represents essential knowledge needed by professionals or students in a given discipline and is highly recommended for the collection of a library that serves health sciences specialists.
• Essential Purchase Title (EPT): Library Selectors indicated which titles in each specialty are Essential Purchase Titles. Essential Purchase Titles are defined as those titles recommended for purchase by a small library.
• DRS Reviews (R): Expert reviews provided by peers and colleagues.
• Stars & Scores ( xx/100): Based on a weighted 50 - 100 scoring system and a 1 - 5 stars system. The higher the score & number of stars the better.
• Scores & Specialties (2.6 Nursing - Patient Education): The Library Selectors scored each title on the final list, rating each core title on a scale of 0 - 3 on five different key collection development criteria.
