Overview

Human Anatomy Systemic is split into 5 sections, Anatomical Language, Musculoskeletal and Surface Anatomy, Cardiovascular and Lymphatic, Nervous and Endocrine and Organ Systems. The background colours from these images indicate their category. Each category is split into further sections.

Over 300 views with 3000 structures shown with concise descriptive text.

3D images make it easier to understand and retain data about structures and their interrelation.

1. ANATOMICAL LANGUAGE
A small chapter detailing the terms used to describe anatomy.

2. MUSCULOSKELETAL AND SURFACE ANATOMY

SKELETAL SYSTEM
This section deals with bone tissue, bones and joints. The body has been divided into Axial and Appendicular sections; if bones are greyed out it is because they are dealt with in the other section.

MUSCULAR SYSTEM
This section deals with muscle tissue and muscles. It is also split into Axial and Appendicular sections. The Muscle Atlas which shows each muscle individually.

SURFACE ANATOMY
- Surface anatomy ~ overview

3. CARDIOVASCULAR AND LYMPHATIC SYSTEMS

CARDIOVASCULAR SYSTEM
These views deal with the heart, arteries and veins. There are views which just show the blood vessels trimmed down and simplified, then there are organ specific 2-layer views which show the blood supply to a specific organ – these views are repeated from the organ system views.

LYMPHATIC SYSTEM
- Lymphatic vessels/Lymphatics of the thorax

4. NERVOUS AND ENDOCRINE SYSTEMS

NERVOUS SYSTEM
These views deal with the nerves, brain, spinal cord, eye and ear. The brain, cranial nerve and special senses views have also been used in the new head. The individual nerve views show the structures each nerve supplies.

ENDOCRINE SYSTEM
- Suprarenal glands

5. ORGAN SYSTEMS

These views deal with all the internal organs which are divided into 6 systems. Each organ system has an 'overview' which sums up the system as a whole, then is followed by a series of views which concentrate on one organ at a time. Any vessels shown supply only the organ in question.

RESPIRATORY SYSTEM
- Lungs
- Actions of the larynx/Abduction of the vocal cords

DIGESTIVE SYSTEM
- Tooth
- Stomach wall

HEPATIC SYSTEM
- Pancreas

URINARY SYSTEM
- Renal vessels
- Bladder and urethra ~ male

REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM
- Female reproductive system/Position and support of the uterus
- Male reproductive system/Testis

INTEGUMENTARY SYSTEM
